Course Overview
The DEA online course will provide successful candidates with the necessary qualification (City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment) to become a EPC Assessor and issue Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) of existing homes.
The 3-Day Training: In this course, you will complete the entire training, assignments, interactive case studies and software training to produce an EPC Online with the trainer. After the 3-day course, you will be required to complete the rest of your portfolio in your own time. Full Support after 3 day course until you are certified & licensed.

How Does the Online Classroom With Live Trainer Works?
The online classroom course will be delivered over three consecutive days with a live trainer. You will be able to participate in the course in real time and interact with your trainer and other learners. Same as Face to Face training.
The learners and trainer will connect via video link (like video conference call). All participants will be sent a link. Once you click on the link, it will take you straight to the online classroom. It is simple and straightforward. You will have full access to this interactive session, which means that all the tutoring and case studies are completed online. You will also get access to download training materials and the RDSAP software to produce EPC.

Energy Performance Certificates are required by law as part of the property documents collated by solicitors/conveyancers for every home that is constructed, sold or rented, in England & Wales. Since October 2008 it has also become mandatory that landlords provide EPCs for all tenanted properties. Further more, EPC also required for GOVT. scheme such as Energy Company Obligation (ECO), Green Deal, RHI. These must be issued by a suitably qualified and registered Domestic Energy Assessor.

What is the difference between the DEA 3 Day Online Training and the DEA 5 Day?
Both the 3-Day and the 5-Day courses lead to the same qualification. Also, the portfolio requirements and the City & Guilds qualification certificate are exactly the same. However, the main difference is as under:
The 3-Day Virtual/Online Course: In this course, you will complete the entire training, assignments, interactive case studies and software training to produce an EPC virtually/online with the trainer. After the 3-day course, you will be required to complete the rest of your portfolio in your own time. This will include completing the case studies and you can utilise properties belonging to yourself, friends or family in order to complete your portfolio. You will get ongoing support from us for the completion of your portfolio.
The 5-Day Training: In this course, you will complete the entire training, assignments, interactive case studies and software training to produce an EPC virtually/online with the trainer. This is the same as the 3-Day virtual/online course. However, you will be attending 2 additional days in order to complete your full portfolio.
